Distinguishing Pediatric Movement Disorders: Uncovering AADC Deficiency
Please join our expert faculty for an interactive satellite symposium as they discuss recognition of pediatric movement disorders that can resemble other conditions. The symposium will investigate how to differentiate such conditions, with specific examples such as cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and select neurotransmitter disorders, including aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase (AADC) deficiency. Our experts will share their clinical experience with regard to diagnosis of AADC deficiency in patients who initially presented with symptoms resembling other, more common pediatric movement disorders. Discussion will include an overview of key clinical features, diagnostic tests, and screening methods for patients with suspected AADC deficiency and review of current management options as well as treatments in development. This promises to be an interesting and engaging event, we look forward to seeing you there!

Satellite Symposium organized and funded by PTC Therapeutics. This meeting is not an official program of the CNS Annual Meeting. Participation in the symposium is limited to licensed healthcare professionals only. MED-ALL-AADC-2000358 September 2020
